Fulfilling the obligations under Art. 10 of the Directive n. 95/46 / EC, by Directive 2002/58 / EC, as updated by Directive 2009/136 / EC, by article 13 of Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, number 196, and by the general provision (web doc. N. 3118884) of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, published in the Official Gazette no. 126 of 3 June 2014, register of measures no. 229 of 8 May 2014 on the subject of Cookies, we proceed with the information on these issues.

I. WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small texts installed on the terminals used by users to browse the internet: more precisely, the websites visited send cookies to the browsers, which memorize them and then retransmit them to the same websites at the next visit by the same user. .

While browsing the internet, users can also receive cookies from different sites or web servers on their terminals (so-called "third-party" cookies): this happens due to the possible existence, on websites, of elements such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains (referable to servers other than the one on which the requested page is located).

Cookies are generally used, based on their specific type, for storing user data, such as, by way of example: the preferences entered, computer authentication, session monitoring, etc. They generally make the browsing experience more intuitive and pleasant - for example by memorizing the preferences entered and avoiding re-entering the same information (such as username / password) several times during the same visit - even covering, in some contexts, a function essential: indeed, numerous operations (see, by way of example, access to the portals of credit institutions for "home banking" operations) would be technically extremely more difficult and risky without cookies, which allow the user to be identified and keep the

II. TYPES OF COOKIES

Two macro-categories of cookies can be identified: "technical" and "profiling".

  1. Technical cookies, normally installed by the owner or manager of the website, have the purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an explicitly requested information society service. by the subscriber or user to provide this service "(see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code). 
    Technical cookies can be further divided into:
    • Navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the safety and efficiency of website navigation, allowing, for example, to make a purchase or to authenticate to access restricted areas. Since they are not stored in any way on the terminal used by the user, and are automatically deactivated when the browser is closed, they do not allow the acquisition of the user's personal identification data;
    • Analytics cookies, used to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they use the site, by means of an anonymous analysis that provides useful information to improve the quality of the site. They can also be installed by third parties (eg by Google analytics) but, in this case, they are similar to profiling cookies, as indicated by the Privacy Guarantor;
    • Functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example the language, or the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. They are similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site.
    For the installation of technical cookies, the prior consent of users is not required, while the obligation to provide information pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree 30/06/2003 n ° 196 (cd. " Privacy Code "), in the manner deemed most appropriate by the site manager.
  2. Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are aimed at creating profiles relating to the user, and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the net. These cookies, particularly invasive in the user's private sphere, have been the subject of specific regulations by European and Italian regulations, which provide that the user must be adequately informed about their use, being enabled to freely express your consent (if any) to their use. Our website uses technical cookies, for which the request for consent from users is not required with the sole purpose of guaranteeing normal navigation and use of the website and measurement or analytical cookies, to collect information in the form anonymous, on the use of the site and to obtain both a statistical analysis of the pages viewed and the behavior of users.

IV. HOW TO DISABLE OUR COOKIES
